Send feedback from the app

In the iPhone app, shake your phone, or go to Settings › Send Feedback. Describe what happened and what you expected. A screenshot of the screen you were on is attached for you; remove it if you would rather not send it, or add more from your photos. The report includes technical details that help us find the problem, but not your name or email.

Beta testers can also take a screenshot in the app and send it with a comment through TestFlight. Feedback from either route is filed in our private issue tracker; see the privacy policy for details.

Common questions

I found a rule that looks wrong or out of date.

Check it against the official text first: every rule in FoodCode links to it. If FoodCode differs from the official text, the official text is what counts. Then tell us which rule it is, and we'll fix it.

My tags or notes are missing on another device.

Make sure you're signed in to the same account on both, and that the phone has been online since you made the change. Changes you make offline sync the next time the app connects.

I didn't get my beta invitation.

Invitations come from TestFlight, so check your spam folder for a message from Apple. If it's been more than a few days, email us from the address you used on the request form.

Can my health district share tag groups with our team?

Yes. An organization's tag groups are shared with all of its members. Email us to set up an organization.

Deleting your account

In the FoodCode iPhone app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. The screen lists what will be deleted, and you confirm before anything happens. On the web, go to Settings → Delete Account (under Danger Zone) and confirm. Both do exactly the same thing.

This permanently deletes, right away:

Tag groups that belong to an organization, such as the State of Ohio groups, stay with that organization. The Ohio Food Code already downloaded to your phone keeps working offline without an account. On the phone, the app signs you out and removes your account's data from the device.

You need an internet connection to delete your account; the button is disabled while you're offline. Deletion can't be undone. If you sign up again with the same email, you start with a new, empty account.

If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove FoodCode's access to your Apple ID: on your iPhone, go to Settings → [your name] → Sign in with Apple → FoodCode → Stop Using Apple ID.

Can't sign in, or want us to do it for you? Email support@foodcodebuddy.com from the address on your account.
